How the Trust Identifies Students
Recommended by Schools
Class teachers know their students best. When they identify a girl from a genuinely struggling family, they bring her name to the School Principal, who formally recommends her to the Trust.
- Fees paid directly to the school: Scholarships, board fees, and learning materials are transferred by cheque to the school — no cash changes hands.
- Open distribution: All resources are distributed in the presence of school authorities and community members, ensuring full accountability.
Proactive Follow-Through
When a girl we support completes school, Trust volunteers reach out — by postcard and phone — to check on her next steps and ensure her momentum continues into college or competitive studies.
- Her academic goals and financial situation are reviewed carefully.
- Career guidance and mentorship are offered alongside financial support.
- Partial or full scholarships are arranged based on genuine need.
How Students Can Apply for Support
Through Your School
If you are a school student whose family is struggling financially, your class teacher or Principal is your first and easiest step. You do not need to approach the Trust directly.
- Speak honestly to your class teacher or Principal about your family's situation.
- The school will verify your background and submit your application on your behalf.
- Once the Trust receives the school's recommendation, support is arranged quickly.
