Kumari Madhubala Advani
Maa Madhubala Advani (M.A., B.Ed.) coming to Jodhpur is, in itself, a great miracle and a divinely ordained event. Her ancestors were originally residents of Sindh before the partition of India. Due to her father’s employment as an engineer in the Railways, the family migrated from Sindh and settled in India. She is the youngest child of her father, Late Shri Jeevanlal Advani, and her mother, Late Smt. Lakshmi Devi. While her eight siblings were born at intervals of two years in Sindh, she was born in 1951 in Sirsa, a city in Punjab, India.
The 9th of December, 1970, marked a golden and unforgettable day in the life of the 19-year-old Madhu Maa. By divine grace, she had a sudden and unexpected meeting with her spiritual guide, Maa Basanti Manihar. This meeting took place in a hospital, where both were present to attend to their respective mothers. What appeared to be a chance encounter was, in truth, a divinely guided moment that would shape the entire course of Madhu Maa’s life.
It was within the hospital premises itself that Maa Basanti Ji introduced Madhu Maa to her own spiritual guide, Shri Nandkishore Ji Sharda, affectionately known as Bhaiyaji. In the years that followed, Bhaiyaji also became Madhu Maa’s spiritual guide, deeply influencing her inner journey and spiritual evolution.
In the year 1971, Madhu Maa took admission in M.A. Psychology in Jodhpur. These two years of her college life proved to be decisive milestones on her spiritual path. Almost every day, while returning from college, she would engage in spiritual contemplation and discussions with Maa Basanti and Bhaiyaji.
At that time, the flame of the quest for true knowledge had already been kindled in her heart, and all her doubts were being resolved logically and convincingly through the guidance of Maa Basanti and Bhaiyaji. This authentic spiritual knowledge became the very foundation stone of her spiritual life. It brought about such maturity and inner clarity within her that even the greatest temptations of the world could no longer attract or influence her.
Bhaiyaji guided Madhu Maa through even the most rigorous and demanding spiritual disciplines in such an exceptionally gentle and simple manner that she always felt as if Bhaiyaji himself was infusing her with the strength to complete them, joyfully leading her forward on the spiritual path.
Under Bhaiyaji’s guidance, Madhu Maa undertook the spiritual disciplines of many exalted conscious divine powers and was blessed with their grace. Through these practices, she was blessed with numerous profound and extraordinary divine experiences that further deepened her spiritual awareness and inner realization. Among these sacred attainments, she was also blessed with a direct vision and divine communion with Mother Saraswati, an experience of immense spiritual significance and grace.
Alongside this, Maa Basanti guided Madhu Maa in the worship and realization of the formless Supreme Absolute (Nirakar Parabrahma), leading her beyond form and name into the realm of pure consciousness. Every spiritual practice that Madhu Maa performed with complete dedication, focus, and sincerity bore fruit through the combined blessings of Maa Basanti and Bhaiyaji.
