Journey to Spiritual Awakening
Shri Nandkishore Sharda, lovingly called 'Bhaiya ji', was born on July 16, 1944, in Jodhpur, in the spiritually rich family of Smt. Tulsi Devi and Shri Vijaykishan Ji Sharda. A brilliant science student with exceptional intellect and a magnetic personality, he was admired by all.
In 1959, a life-changing moment transformed a 15-year-old boy forever.
Shri Nandkishore Sharda, young and full of innocence, was struck by the sudden demise of his father. The loss was not just personal — it opened his eyes to the profound truth of life's impermanence.
For the first time, he realized that this physical body, so cherished and cared for, is fragile and mortal.
From that moment onward, his heart turned away from the fleeting attractions of the material world. A burning quest arose within him — an unshakable determination to seek the cosmic power that breathes life into the body.
What is that eternal force?
How does it govern us?
What is the true purpose of human existence?
How should one walk this path of life?
Thus began his extraordinary spiritual journey — one that would not only define his own destiny but also illuminate the path for countless others.
Shri Nandkishore Sharda sought truth through reason, not blind faith. He visited many sadhus, tantriks, saints, and mahatmas on his quest for deeper spiritual understanding but found their answers unscientific and dogmatic.
He believed that truth is eternal, yet the path to realize it must evolve with time. Guided by intellect and sincerity, he pursued spiritual truth beyond tradition, ritual, and superstition.
He completely surrendered and devoted himself to the Divine Mother Maa Tripurasundari (the creator of the universe) and solemnly worshipped her day and night with full dedication. The Divine Mother, moved by his innocence and sincerity, blessed him with her divine vision and bestowed spiritual powers upon him. He used it not for himself, but entirely for the welfare of humanity.
A Life Devoted to Humanity
From Divine Grace to Selfless Social Service
After years of deep sadhna, Shri Sharda and Maa Basanti ji were divinely inspired in 1996 to dedicate their lives to social upliftment. Recognizing the urgent need for girls' education — especially in western Rajasthan, where poverty and neglect dimmed their future — they resolved to uplift them with both knowledge and values.
With Maa Tripursundari's grace, they founded the Swami Vivekanand Students Welfare Charitable Trust, laying the true foundation of women's empowerment.
They believed that education must go beyond academics and be rooted in sanskar and spirituality, nurturing a girl's life with compassion, sincerity, inner strength, and divine values, so she grows into a confident, enlightened, and empowered individual.
Their mission focused on the most underprivileged girls — those ignored by society and overlooked even at home. With values, love, and spiritual grounding, the Trust began transforming young lives and preparing a generation committed to restoring human qualities in society.
For its unwavering dedication to girls' education and women's empowerment, the Rajasthan government honored the Trust with the Bhamashah Award for five consecutive years (1999–2003).
Bhaiyaji, however, never saw these awards as personal accolades. He viewed them as recognition of the resilient students who, despite facing immense challenges, continue to strive for a brighter future. The Trust's remarkable success, he believed, belonged entirely to these determined students.
From Divine Journey to Eternal Remembrance
On January 24, 2003, the auspicious occasion of Vivekananda Jayanti, he left this mortal world for the divine abode. While living in the world, he remained untouched by all worldly vices and dedicated himself incessantly to selfless work, presenting a perfect example of 'Sthit Pragya' life — the perfect sage.
The "Manidweep Ka Adhyatma Purush – Shri Nandkishore Sharda", a memoir on his personality and accomplishments, comprises articles of more than 350 eminent persons from all walks of life, expressing their intimate thoughts and paying their homage and tribute to him.
The personality, works, and accomplishments of Bhaiya ji are described in detail in the book "Maa Tripurasundari Ke Laadle Chakradhari Yuga Pravartak Adhyatmayogi Shri Nandkishore Sharda". This book also includes a few pages of his handwritten diary which deeply reflects his devotion towards the Divine Mother, his philosophical thoughts, and the divine knowledge and experiences gained through the Divine Mother.
To honor Bhaiyaji Shri Nandkishore Sharda's profound work in knowledge, spiritual practice, and women's education, and to ensure that his devoted actions continue to inspire generations, the local administration has named roads after him in Jodhpur, Balotra, and Jasol as an enduring remembrance.

The Radiance of Divine Grace
Illuminating the Path of Devotees, Now and Always
Bhaiya ji undertook the most intense and sacred sadhna, yet out of his infinite compassion, he revealed to us a simple and gentle path to reach the Divine Mother. He taught that when one offers sadhna with unwavering faith, pure devotion, heartfelt love, and sincere dedication, the Divine Mother's grace naturally descends — and through that grace, Bhaiya ji lovingly unites the devotee with Her.
He awakened a new consciousness in this era and gave life to the spirit of universal brotherhood and world peace. He led mankind from darkness to light and always lived up to the aspirations and expectations of the masses.
His exalted thoughts, his virtuous deeds, his divine wisdom, and the depth of his spiritual experiences continue to light the way for innumerable seekers.
For thousands, he is not only a guide but a living inspiration — leading them toward progress both in the material world and on the spiritual path. Mother Earth is blessed to have had such a son.
